I absolutely ADORE the magic of editing. It truly transforms an image and can make all the difference in creating an eye-catching photo of drool-worthy food. While my mantra has always been "less is more", these three tips are useful when creating photos you're proud of 💓⁠
⁠
🌈 Colour correction and colour grading are two different things, but make a huge difference in the overall look and feel of your photo. Swipe for before photos!⁠
🖥️ Photoshop composites are life savers when you want to duplicate props or create one image out of multiple images that require bounce cards and reflectors to produce the overall look.⁠
🪄Simple retouching can transform food and make it look that little more appealing. ⁠
⁠

There are simple ways to inject personality, emotion and a human element in our photos to make them more relatable – allowing us to share more than just a plate of pretty food. Storytelling is a HUGE part of my process. I want you to feel like you're sat at the table, with friends or family. There's gentle chatter and laughter. Because isn't this what food is really about? Bringing people together? ⁠

I challenge you to try creating a photo that brings in one of these elements:⁠
✨ Include yourself in the image⁠
✨ Try experimenting with slower shutter speeds (how slow it needs to be will depend on the speed of your 'object' and the look you're trying to evoke)⁠
✨ Use unique props that mean something to YOU!⁠
✨ Captivate your audience with a heartfelt caption⁠
⁠

This pistachio no-churn is HIGHHH on my list for serving straight up in bowls or atop of waffles cones dipped in chocolate. With three key ingredients, this recipe has allll the flavour and none of the hassle. Simply whisk everything up, freeze and scoop!

I also always follow these steps when making no-churn for the best results:
🥄 Use a high-quality nut paste that’s made with 100% natural pistachios and no additives
❤️ Always choose @carnation_uk condensed milk for that velvety, smooth texture. The low water content means it’s best for making no-churn that tastes INCREDIBLE.
🥃 A dash of alcohol like whisky or rum helps to keep your no-churn soft and scoopable, rather than chewy and solid.
